    Fuel Pressure/Blue Spring

    I put one in, the whole kit, not just the spring. Raised pressure to 66 at idle and drops to low 50's under hard accel. I don't know what the psi was before the spring swap, but it's good now. I did it when I did my delete so the fuel bowl was off, made install a snap.

    I put a Newton lift on my 06. Got it on ebay pretty cheap. My 275/65/20 are 34.1" tall, stock size tire. So you would be going smaller than stock. As for the best lift, Icon is very expensive, don't know if that makes it the "best".

    Could be the ficm, do you have a way to monitor the voltage? If it is just bad when cold, sounds like Rev-x could help you too.

    Is it really the pedestal leaking? PICS!!!

    On my 97 when I replaced the turbo, I knocked an o-ring off between the turbo and the pedistal. All the oil went down. And a LOT went down. Nothing up like on your hood, ect. But the 97 didn't have a cooler. Have you looked to see where it is coming from with the truck running?

    I got mine from Adam @ First Coast Diesel Performance. He gets them tuned from Innovative, But I wanted Gearhead tunes, which wasn't a problem. When the SCT comes, you have to plug it into your truck to get strategy. Then with the strategy and the # off the SF3 and get in touch with your tune...

    The SCT isn't switch on the fly because it tunes the trans, and that takes some time to "learn". I'm in Dekalb Co.

    I have the SF3 and love it. Your custom tune choices are about endless. The general concensus across all the forums is the SCT is the BEST for the 6.0. The Edge CTS is good for monitoring, the SCT is great for POWAH!!! The SCT tunes the trans too, so the extra power won't destroy it. BTW...

    I sold my 97 to a local kid. So I hear/see it all the time. I love my 06 KR, but really miss my 97. Still looks as good as the day I sold it.

    SCT SF3 vs. SCT X3 What's the difference?

    "Canned" tunes are just generic tunes from SCT, or whoever the programmer/chip is made by, that are for all trucks. The custom tunes will be written specifically for your truck with your mods. The custom tunes are much better, and usually safer than the canned ones.

    If you want a power adder, the general consensus for the 6.0 is the SCT with custom tunes. You will have a perma-grin as a result of the added power. People say that the higher hp tunes will give you the best mileage increase. Me personally, can't keep my foot out of it to get better mileage...

    If you don't have emissions testing, do the EGR delete. Studs are not a necessity if you watch your oil and coolant delta, (should be no more than 15*). If you have a greater than 15* difference, your oil cooler or egr could be plugged, which is how the heads lift when the coolant gets flash...

    SF3 comes with 3 canned tunes on it. X3 has none. They both do the same thing when it comes to custom tunes(which is what you want).

    The fact that these trucks are getting more rare all the time, makes it hard to put a price on them. I sold my 97 eclb 4x4 with 101,000 for $12,000 last Sept. Book was way less. But clean low mile trucks are hard to find. Book value will give you a good starting point.

    What is your FICM voltage? Less than 48V means time for repair or replacement soon.

    It could be the "non-servicable" plug on the hpop. It is on the drivers-side of the pump towards the bottom of the pump. I put an Adrenaline pump on my 97 and that plug backed out.:doh: Lost a gallon before I stopped and saw the mess. If it leaks it will fill the valley, and rust proof the...

    Towing with the 6.7L

    Maybe you got that "one" truck. I moved from a 97 7.3 to an 06 6.0, and the power comparison is laughable. The 6.0 will out pull, out run and drive circles around the 7.3. The last word I would use to describe my 6.0 is weak!
