Shudder when accelerating uphill on curve

Wow.. seven bills for clutches? Yikes... I'm going to try to get them to put in a Detroit tru-track for me as I'm still under warranty, and my LS is toast. it's about $435, I'll buy it if they put it in... I suspect I'll never have to screw with it again. Odd though that them chattering is a...

    05 died after fueling up

Well if it is the HPOP, you can get to it fairly easily... well more so than the head gaskets anyway. good luck, and keep us posted.

    05 died after fueling up

You aren't low on oil, correct? If you lost a head gasket I'm sure you'd see green stuff in the oil by now, or if it managed to stay in the cylinder, you'd never be able to turn it over. No Codes you say? I'm wondering if you didn't loose a cam position sensor, and the ECU is running blind...

    Sad, Sad Day......

Send me a PM with your particulars... my buddy might be coerced into something but I can't say for sure. Worth a shot. And of course... sorry to hear about your situation.

6.0 Has bit the dust again

That solution is total BS... I think you guys need to contact Ford directly and fill them in on what's going on. Which ever two shops you're working with are a bunch of tards. It's true you can get into an overboost condition, but blowing the tanks off the coolers is a bit much. There are...

Shudder when accelerating uphill on curve

Whatever man... ask any performance shop they'll tell you the same thing. I wonder why it voids the warranty on any Auburn if it's used in there... Hmmm? TxEx... it's your rearend. do what you want. What's odd on this is this apparently just started this behavior?

6.0 Has bit the dust again

Out of curiosity... do these trucks still have the pilot injection? Saxonburgh VFC has a 2004 as a brush truck, and they went through 3 turbos so far... I was at a fire a few months back and was shocked to see the truck running at high idle, and I couldn't even tell the thing was on. I walked...

Shudder when accelerating uphill on curve

no way man... they will not glaze themselves and or self destruct without friction modifier. They will glaze if you DO use it.They will not self destruct either... the worst they can do is just provide so little friction that they are basically useless. If you break a friction or steel disk...

    CHEAPEST: OE 6.0 AIR FILTER

well according to blackstone, it must not make that much of a difference because wear metals have been trending downwards, no matter which filter I use. About the only thing I'm seeing in there is 2% fuel and 8 ppm aluminum, and I attribute that with the fuel in the oil.

    CHEAPEST: OE 6.0 AIR FILTER

I don't know about that flimsy little wrap on the primary filter... it fits so poorly, I can't see it doing anything , other than maybe picking up something that might be laying in the bottom of the bowl... doesn't make much sense to me.

Shudder when accelerating uphill on curve

I'd live with it before I'd EVER add friction modifier... I've got 27k on the clock and the LS has been absent for the last 10... Does it make a difference turning left to right or only one way? what about the same hill under light accel?

You're lucky it hasn't leaked enough to support an engine runaway condition... you can have some real problems there...

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

that would be my plan as well once the weather warms up a bit. Tee tree should work just fine, plus you can actually see it! I'd think you'd be fine putting the oil in high on the motor, even if it is a bit cooler, It's not like you're flowing 50gpm of oil flow...

    '06 oil leak

I couldn't agree more... I'd rather do the job right, or screw it up myself, because I know that the second time around it WILL be done correctly, and with care and attention to detail. Which that alone is more than I've seen in just about any shop...

Random Hard to start 95 Turbo Diesel

makes sense... if you could mark the shaft (scribe it) somehow and take a picture of it to re index it, I'd imagine you'd be fine... I'll see if he's had any luck here recently. Thanks gang...

Random Hard to start 95 Turbo Diesel

Oh, so it's basically like changing a very expensive distributor... I was thinking that it involved flow testing and such, so basic mechanical practices are at play here then huh? Cool easy enough...

    Injector Replacement

What exactly is the procedure to check for a leaking injector anyway? I assume it's leaking fuel? I'm thinking I might have one or something that's leaking fuel.. as it's showing up in the oil at about 1.7%... I'd like to get it squared away now... before something gets taken out...

Random Hard to start 95 Turbo Diesel

Hey gang... got one for ya... My buddy has an original owner 95 7.3 turbo, not the powerstroke... Trouble is lately it's been getting hard to start... sometimes. it has 180k miles on it. Glow plugs are good, relay is good, starter is fine, batteries and associated cabling is fine...
