    I did not get your message before I had it towed to my Ford dealer. I tried changing the rail and top fuel filters and checked the EGR valve. Still ran the same. I did not get to try the battery trick above. I will keep you posted on what the issue is! Thanks for responding Joe!! :sweet

    My 04 Excursion did the same thing last year. Totally freaked me out. Wound up being the sending unit. I did not have time to monkey with it myself and let Ford do it while I had it in for something else. So, therefore, I don't know where it is located. Hope this helps!
