photos New LED lighting on the camper.

There has got to be some way to buff it out so the outline disappears but I have not fount it. I my decals were flaking off I would figure something out. How about new decals just a smidgin larger than the old ones?

Heat gun, goof off, goo gone, wd-40 and lots of patience. Problem is if your rig has faded at all then the pattern will never go away as the paint behind the decal is brand new looking and the rest is faded a little. I removed a bunch when the camper was only a year old and I can still see...

I have not done much to the old truck in quite some time but today I did install some new led's on the camper. Old fixtures were full of dust and looked kinda cheap. New ones are sealed and look shiny. Here are the before and after photo's. Last two are with the lights off.

    Question Battery charge time formula

I want to fully charge it so I can test it after letting it sit for a week or so. Might be time for a replacement.

    Question Battery charge time formula

My brain must not be working this morning as I can't remember the formula to estimate the time it takes to charge a battery. After sitting for two months the Battery in our 95' Explorer is low enough that it won't quite start the engine, it will crank a little but too slow to start. Battery...

Thinking about getting the kid a laptop for high school graduation and of course we are leaning towards Mac. What classes require Windows?

    comment Snow Leopard

I finally updated my Mac OS X to Snow Leopard. I have been waiting to make sure there were no bugs like when windows is updated but there didn't seem to be any so I went for it. Instal was a snap and it does seem to operate a bit faster, also has a few cool features. Just thought I would throw...

    cold weather hiss

You may need to clean the sensor tube. It runs from the passenger side exhaust manifold up to a sensor mounted on top of the HPOP reservoir. The tube gets plugged up with soot. You can replace the tube or clean it out with a stiff wire chucked up in a drill.

    Fumoto Valve

I have been using one for several years. No nipple. I cut a little off the threads to keep it from protruding into the pan too far. A year or two ago I pulled it all the way out and dumped a quart of oil in and nothing other than clean oil drained out so I don't think it is holding much of...

Question What did you do to your truck today?

Mercon V ATF is what the book calls for. Something like this stuff. Up here the dealer flushes it out and refills with Aviation Hydraulic Fluid which is better in cold weather but in CA ATF will be fine.

    Time to do a clutch...

Let us know how you like it. I need to replace mine this spring as it is starting to slip a little when I put the hammer down. Still haven't decided which one I am going with.

    Thanks Crummy!!!!

Been hitting -40° here at night and -30° during the day. Warmed up a little more today and the forecast doesn't look bad at all. Coldest I have seen all winter is -54° so all-in-all it has been a mild winter. Not much snow either.
