    Just to clarify, 70 is great but more isnt better if you start going to 80-85-90 it will be SUPER responsive and SUPER quiet, foor a very very short time then you will blow some injector orings and have antifreeze in the cylinders and fuel in the antifreeze, just nothing good about it.

    there is SOMETHING out there, our 02 7.3 ambulance high idles any time the e-brake is set, however this is not possible in just tuning the 7.3 PCM does not see any input form the ebrake (6.0s do) so it has to be an external module but i dont know anything about it.

    do you have a bosst gauge? if so what pressures are you seeing. oukk off the intake tube and see what your fins look like, nie and smooth is good, chipped or sand blasted is bad. grab the end of the shaft and see if it wiggles side to side, up down, in out so on and so forth.

    if you dont catch it early skip just replacing the TC and get a full tranny rebuild, chances are crap from the TC tore up the rest of the tranny,

    yeah there is some kind of fast idle built into the stock programming for warming up in cold weather thats different, at least from my point of view, i flip into high idle when i have to close a road and am going to be sitting for multiple hours with strobes on, 1, drawing a little more power...

    really? i thought our regulators were built into the alternator and you just replaced the whole dang thing? mines dead right now, (on the 03) been looking at DB alternators, they have one in chrome if you so choose, or a 200 amp setup if you have lots of stuff going on. their stock replacement...

    six leakers can do it, 7.3s cant, to my knowledge, if you have or get a chip they can program a high idle program for you.

    maybe if it had some 17inch disc brakes on each wheel, its like 4x4 sure it helps you get moving or carry the weight but it dont help you stop any better! on edit for that price you could have some nice airbags, a FULL onboard air system including some air horns

    in theory you will get better atomization of the fuel thereby it burning better and giving more BTUs/gallon. or at least it makes sense in my head, i don;t ahve big oil....... yet

    might be tough getting injetors, intercooler, and turbo for 3000, from BWD a tubronetics with all the options and a spearco is just under 3000.maybe used stuff would allow for injectors, but i have been looking around.

    yup yup we have 4 story "high rise" old folks home here in our town, and a big old mill that all the wood and timbers are saturated in various petroleum/deadly chemicals we just sit and pray at night that it doesnt go up, in theory they are redoing the whole thing and making a nice town center...
