    Detailing trick, Use baby shampoo in a spray bottle, about 20 to 1. Just a squirt will do you. It is the same type of non harsh soap as that in detailing bottles. I actually got this from a detailing chemical manufacturer when they could not get me chemicals quickly enough.

    Somehow, $9800 for a full blown rebuild on a diesel motor does not strike me as unreasonable. You gotta pay to play, and that is what the minimum of what I would spend if and when I need to redo a motor.

    The shipping to their end customer is normal. The reason that they do that is so that they can make sure that they do not have every nitwit on the block coming to them with problems, that may, or may not be their fault. Sounds convuluted, but it really is the best way for them.

    The 6.0 intakes are really not that restrictive, until you starting getting into mega horsepower. They do not have the same setup as the 7.3 trucks. It is a far superior system.

    When my truck was puking coolant, it was the Degas bottle. I replaced it and am as good as gold. Strictly Diesel in North Scottsdale is highly recommended. You can also talk to local Arizona guys at Arizona PowerStroke Group (APG) A local Powerstroke forum.

    Believe me, it was under protest and total necessity. I thought it was better that I take it than someone less experienced towing a trailer. I am just glad there were no incidents.

    A minimum of about 20k. I got 5.4 MPG for the haul. My 10 k travel trailer, over the same haul gets 9.6mpg. I had the airbags inflated to 120 PSI, and it still did not level out the truck. It dropped about 2 inches at full inflation.

    Black coolant

    I just changed mine today. It came out nearly black. There was a lot of grit in the coolant, and I think that accounted for a lot of the blackness. When I drained the pan, it looked like it was oily in the bottom, but, when I put my finger in it, it was mostly gritty. Just my experience.
