    If it is the original location for the Aux switches, it is very easy. Usually less than an hour at the dealership, plus the kit. For an '06 it is usually less than $150, but that is here, and it has been a while since I had mine done.

    There are block off plugs available that totally prevent the coolant from going in. That is what I am thinking of, and may do, just to see if it works.

    It is what is most likely to break in the 2001 2002 trucks. The only reason I say that is that ours broke 300 miles from home and 5000 miles out of warranty. It required a TOTAL transmission rebuild in a town I was not familiar with, since the Ford dealer wanted to keep it for a week or more...
