    He could have also blown a rear tire that was run flat and caught fire. I have seen that happen more than a few times. I would be interested to know how long he had been on duty, before I made a judgement.

    Extended cranking question

    For the past month I have to do some extended cranking on my 06 to get it started. It is probably cranking twice as long as it did previously, and then starts and runs fine. I do not want to get flashed, so I am wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this.

    As long as the engine and tranny are still good, I would look at this as a customization opportunity. Think of it, you could probably get the seats that you want and install them, (Maybe, Recaros, or big truck seats) You could get nicer carpet or floor mats, pick out your stereo, a new grill...

    My brother is a Junior and often runs into the same problems. He ended up putting everything he buys in joint ownership with his wife, and with her name listed first. My parents have marginally better control of their money now, but, it still gives my bro nightmares.

    I second the Eloy thing. I try to convince people that want me to polish stuff for them to go to Eloy. I hate polishing. It takes hours to ge tthe proper shine, and if the wheels are not taken care of, it can be a nightmare. I would be real interested to see how this stuff works.

    This is the way I do it, not that it is the right way, but it is a way. I put the gasket on the light. I take the whole thing and put it through the hole, and then take teh outer flange of the gasket and work it around so that is holding the light in. They are a pain, but better than having...
