    Our Excurison lasted 54k until it decided it was not longer part of this world. It had never pulled a trailer at the time. My 2000 pu has 188k on it right now, and it pulls a 8500 lb. trailer 90% of the time.

    Long Starts

    Cold, High Pressure oil pump, Low Batteries, Fuel filter, Glow Plugs, Those are all reasons for a slow start. If it is only when it is cold, it is probably most likely electrical, Battery and Glow plugs. If it is everytime, it is more likely fuel, pump and HPOP.

    When I pull my 10,000lb. work trailer, I put 30 PSI in. That levels it nicely, and maintains a decent ride. Sometimes I put more in, if the trailer is a little heavier. When I am running empty I run about 10 PSI.

    My 06 burned through batteries at 30k and it appears that I might need them again at 65k. I do run them hard and do a lot of things to them liike leave the lights on with the engine off that batteries do not typically like. There are a lot of reasons that they might fail.
