Dayum! I don't think even a mother could love that face. It looks like his head caught fire and someone put it out with a shovel.

    Question Block heater cord

True, but the 30 amp Marinco is easier to find. I've seen 30 amp and 50 amp, but I haven't seen a 20 amp in any of the stores I frequent.:dunno

    6.0 with EGR delete...problems?

:coffee My two cents... Drive it like you stole it. Add a coolant filter. DieselSite makes a great package for the 6.0. Add gauges, either Scan Gauge or Edge. Either is so simple to install a monkey could do it. Change oil at recommended intervals. Change coolant at recommended intervals...

Some F350's we just got transported

Happy for anyone who is working, Stephen. I guess they fit the wheels that let those trucks roll on the railroad elsewhere. I've seen them on the CSX tracks around Crestview.

    Question Block heater cord

It's available at my local ACE Hardware, but then again my local ACE has a RV and marine department. Look for a 30 amp Marinco AC fitting. They aren't cheap at nearly $75 for one end, and they AREN'T spring loaded, they're twist to lock.

    What happened to everybody?

I hop on Tennesee Route 28 to I-24 East, and I'm in downtown Chattanooga in 25 minutes. The house is in the valley on the west side of Signal Mountain. I'm far enough away from the city, but close enough to enjoy all it has to offer. For what I'm paying for 3/4 acre and nearly 3000 square...

    What happened to everybody?

I had it, it was better than dial up and much better than Hughes Net. Good people to deal with, too! But if online gaming or streaming movies is your thing, not so good. When DSL came through to service my rural home, I switched. Now that I'm moving to Tennessee, I live in the mountains, but...

    What happened to everybody?

Been busy trying to get all my stuff in one place to move. I've been through three house offers in Tennessee, all three have busted deals with something or another. It's a seven hour drive from the Florida panhandle to the Sequatchie Valley of Tennessee. So driving, house hunting, and taking...

No reason or excuse for driving drunk tonight.free tows available

When I do my drinking, it is usually when I am at home, or when I am traveling with the RV. Too much to drink means going to bed and sleeping it off. When I'm not at home, I go to the RV, fire up the on-board generator for air conditioning if needed, and curl up in my home away from home. I...

    Maiden Maintenance Voyage on 6.0

Those Ranchos are not Ranchos, but Ford shocks with the Rancho name printed on them. Bilsteins are the way to go, but that's just my humble opinion, the Monroes are a good choice as well. Remember batteries not included, YMMV Member FDIC. ;tu

    7000 hours 6.0L diesel

I doubt it was a tow vehicle for the Rose Parade. Walk away, there are other 6.0s on the road with less hours and less idle time.

    Anyone have an iphone 4s?

Love my iPhone. It's come in very handy on trips, I have a lot of RV specific apps on the phone, GPS, etc. I have the tethering option so I can actually drive and have my wife surf the web on the MacBook, it keeps her happy and occupied on long trips. As for the phone itself, it's sort of like...

What to look for when buying a 6.0L

I have nearly 120,000 miles on mine. Other than replacing both batteries at the four year point, adding a coolant filter and replacing a vacuum solenoid for the electronic shift on the fly, no issues. Just the normal fluid and filter changes has made my truck happy. Find a truck that has been...

    Front hub question...

A common problem on these electronic shift on the fly 4X4 systems is the vacuum solenoid located next to the passenger side battery on the inner fender. In most cases it has a rectangular white top. $90 spent at the dealership parts department and ten minutes of your time to swap components...

Figuring out the fuel for this year

It's not the truck, it's the sorry excuse for diesel fuel we are now getting at the pumps. When my truck was new, it was not uncommon to get 20+ mpg on highway driving. I'm lucky to break the 17 mpg mark now. Ditto on towing, I used to get 13 mpg towing my fiver, now it hovers around 9 to 10...

    SDD being Off-line

"Replace me"? Sounds like the hackers were tree huggers, who want us to ditch our diesels and buy a Prius. That will happen uh....never!

    Holiday Driving

When driving long distance, I thrive on truck stop coffee. It was good enough for my daddy, it's good enough for me. But as for driving over the holiday, I'm keeping my tail at the house.:coffee

Don't you just love all of this EPA mandated crap that is hung on our trucks like an overdecorated Christmas tree? :rant

    Now I've got time....

Sorry about your troubles with the parts numbers and the link to the dealer that no longer is there. Perhaps when the move to new quarters is complete, I'll update the article and add an article or two about some other tweaks I've added to my truck. It's been a rough few years since I wrote that...

How to Turn Off Daytime Running Lights

I'm in the process of moving to Tennessee, and I WANT daytime running lights. Right now I get them by covering up the sensor for the auto lamps. Would like to have the DRL module, though.
