    Fuel pressure mod question

No Big Joe, I haven't done any of the other fuel supply mods. Was thinking about doing the pump inlet, but didn't want to do the intank mods until I had to drop the tank for something else. I usually don't let the tank get below half, so I don't thing I suck to much air inside the tank. I've...

    Fuel pressure mod question

Fuel filter was installed same day as the regulator. Batterys are good and cable connections get cleaned on a regular basis. Truck cranks fine, just seems to crank longer before firing when the motor is warm compared to when it is cold. Never noticed it until I installed the regulator. I...

    Fuel pressure mod question

A few weeks ago I installed a fuel pressure regulator from Dieselsite. Bob's instructions recommend 65 psi, so that is where I set it. After driving it a day or two, I noticed the truck cranks longer when it is warm. Cold it starts just fine. I e-mailed Bob and he told me to try dropping rhe...

    Leveling Kit Question

I was thinking of installing a 2 1/2" leveling kit on the front of my truck and a taller block from a F-350 in the back to make room for a slightly larger tire. Went to the local speed shop tonight, who does alot of lift kit business, and was told they do not make a leveling kit for the leaf...

    Question radiator leak

Having it fixed or replaced is the right thing to do. I don't trust stop leak. To many other things it can plug besides the hole. Just my opinion. I know it's not the cheapest option, but the peace of mind might be worth it.

    fpr mod

I just installed the Dieselsite fuel pressure regulator. Set it to 65 psi, as reccommedned. Bob told me that more than 70 will yield no further gains and will infact cause harder starting. I currently am running at 60 psi because the truck was starting hard when warm. I would think that 105...

    Satellite radio question

Here you go Bama. This is the one I got. All you have to do is pull the radio out and unplug the antenna. plug the wire from the adapter into the antenna jack of the radio and plug the factory antenna wire into the adapter. FM Direct Adapter Provides a direct connection for a Dock & Play...

Clutch may be toast. 6sp manual F250

No better time to replace the clutch than when the tranny is out anyway. Saves pulling it out twice.

Clutch may be toast. 6sp manual F250

I had the slave cylinder go out in my truck a little while back. Clutch would go to the floor and stay there. I couldn't shift into gear though. Hopefully it's a cheaper fix than a new clutch for ya. Best of luck.

Question What did you do to your truck today?

Removed my fuel filter bowl and installed new o-rings in everything. Also replaced the fuel filter lid. No more fuel leaks. While I was at it, I installed the adjustable fuel pressure regulator from Bob over at Dieselsite.com. Running 65 psi right now. Seems a little quieter at idle and a...

    7.3L water pump rebuild?

Called the local IH truck shop today. Turns out TG was right, Ford uses a different water pump than IH. The only listings they have for the Ford version in a complete water pump and a water pump gasket. No parts. Since it's basically scrap at this point, maybe I'll tear it apart when I get a...

    stock hp?

Not sure if the 2000 and the 2002 had the same rating, but, I have a friend with a 2002 w/ auto tranny and the EPA tag says 250 @ 2600 RPM. My 2002 6 speed says 275 @ 2600 RPM.

    6spd fluid

I got a price from Mad Jack Racing, (one of our sponsors), on the Amsoil synthetic for in my 6 speed. Was around $75 for a 2 1/2 gallon jug. That will fill the transmission and the transfer case. I don't remember the Amsoil name for the fluid though. :dunno I need to do some more reasearch...

    MBRP exhaust

I paid about $375 for my MBRP exhaust from Dieselsite.com. Mine is the aluminized turbo back single outlet. I'd say $400 is a good price though. You'r gonna love the sound. Good luck with the install. The downpipe is the worst part. I removed my transmission cross member to get the...

    Coolant fluid????

You might want to use distilled water. Tap water contains minerals that will lead to scale buildup in you'r cooling system. Around here distilled water is around $1 a gallon. Cheap little bit of insurance to help you'r truck live longer. And X2 on what Big Joe said about the gold coolant.

    Question Ball Joints

Just for some comparison, I had all 4 ball joints replaced, had an alignment done and had all 4 axle seals replaced by the local Ford dealer about 2 years ago. Total cost was $1000. If you can't do the job, I'd say $600 isn't to bad. Just my opinion.
