    Thanks for the help guys. I found the problem. The reman alternator I got was bad. Took it back, had it tested and got my money back. Since they didn't have another in stock, I went to another parts place and got one. Put it on and it works.

    Thanks Dave. I found the fuse links, and I have continuity through all 3 of them. The wiring diagram I have shows power going through fuse 45 and fuse 64. Fuse 45 is good, but I cannot find fuse 64. Is there another fuse panel somewhere besides the one under the dash?

    I have been running the 203 t-stat for about 40,000 miles, and I haven't really noticed much difference. Maybe a little more cab heat. Not enough change in engine temp to see a difference on the factory temp gauge. But, I don't really tow, so the idea of a t-stat that is letting my engine...

    Is there any good rule of thumb for when to replace glow plugs, other than when they start to fail? I understand that the more they are used, the sooner they will need replaced. My truck has just short of 140,000 miles, and I was thinking maybe that would be a good project for the summer...

    Thanks guys. I do still have 15W-40 in it. Always have. Single digits are not to much of an issue around here. Maybe a couple days a year. And I always can plug it in then. BTW, what is a good rule of thumb for replacing glow plugs? 150,000 miles? 200,000? Or just when they start going bad?

    Been trying to locate a vibration in the exhaust. Finally narrowed it down to the muffler, so I took it off. No more muffler, no more vibration. Think I'll let the straight pipe in.

    bushings

    They can be greased, just be sure to use a synthetic grease that doesn't have any petroleum in it. When I installed mine the other weekend, I coated the bushings in a synthetic silicone based grease before I installed them.
