    4 Wheel Drive question

You have a brand new truck, not a big deal now. Here, in colorado, nature (snow) allows me to break out the 4hi and never go longer then about 6 months without putting atleast 25 miles locked. I have not had a manual on manual lock hubs since my 88, 7.3 but I sure 25 miles every six or so would...

    4 Wheel Drive question

On the "06", You need a full rotation to engage the 4 wheel drive, in the event you can not due to fact your rear wheels are spinning then you would go out and manually put them in the locked pos.

One Piece Drive Shaft Solves All

My shudder or vibration was not present stock. My problem was because of an after market lift I did not take my truck back to the dealer the only thing I tried before the shaft was the carrier bearing shims.

One Piece Drive Shaft Solves All

Installed one piece drive shaft after trying to get rid of a off the line vibration for about a year. It began by installing a 3" lift. Final damage-$$ 287.00. 30 of it was the shims for the carrier bearing that did not help. 257 for the shaft with free install by local store.:burnit

    NSA program...ruled unconstitutional

Answer me one question, why is it that the ground pounders out there, fighting over there, the only ones that should have to give up some freedoms to protect our country but we at home do not, specially during war time. Furthermore, most of the B.S. that occurs in the Middle East predates...

    Slight Vibration at take-off

For the last year I have been fighting a vibration at takeoff. If your truck is at all modified from stock height I would seriously consider going to a one piece drive shaft. Currently Four wheel Parts in Denver is offering a one piece, parts and install their only charging 190.00 not sure if...

    Broken doohickey

The plastic piece attaches to the top of the inside of the cap. Frequently they do brake and thats why I suspect some filters if not all provide you with a new one along with another o-ring. Also, as long as you change the filter before you finish draining, this would be ok as well, right...

    lift kits?

Poor Boy Lift For all of you all with the 05 and up I can't complain about what I did to my truck for a few inches (3"). It took some trial and error to get the carrier bearing shimed to get rid of the knock. I just did the 2.5 inch coil isolator (leveling puck) and the 3" tappered block...

    Fumoto Valve

Last change I dumped about 10 quarts on the drive. The 15 qt container could not take the oil fast enough. This thread just reminded me. So i just ordered the valve while I was reading this. No matter what the cost is its a good deal. The mess took about 10 lbs of oil Dry. It gave me about 50...

    Help with weird occurance

Is there any truth to something I was told that doing a proper tire rotation crossing the front to the back and bringing the back straight foward would cause a problem in the belts. They were use to traveling one direction and then when you cross them they were going the other?

    Reverse Polarity??

I traced the cables they were reversed. Not sure why she was able to start receiving jump from straight polarity. Also wanted to know if you could just reverse the polarity from the donor vehicle to jump a vehicle that is running a positive ground. Not that I will likely ever run into this again.

Ran across a little sweetie the other day driving a Jeep Cherokee don't know the year my guess would be late 80s.
