    Biodiesel

Yes there's an ASTM standard. Not everyone produces ASTM fuel, that's why OEM's don't wanna recognize higher percentages. They have no control over waht goes in your tank and lately some dealers will send off fuel samples for testing even with #2. I know we do at the fuel shop I work at if...

    adding sulpher fuel additive

To my knowledge sulphur isn't a lubricant in diesel, it actually acts more as a biocide keeping growth at bay. The process of removing sulphur is stripping out the lubricants in the fuel...not that actual missing sulphur is the cause to "drier" fuel

    Truck Runs But Run Rough

Was it showing 3100psi and not changing? At idle it should only be around 600psi. You have a problem if it's reading 3100 @idle.

wierd oil pressure issues with the stealth HPOP

Mine does this too. It has since the day I installed the Stealth with stock injectors. It's not normal according to Bean and he told me to run an auxillary supply hose from a port down by the oil filter into the inspection plug hole on top of the reservoir. Some Termy pumps have run into the...

    Biodiesel in an 08 6.4???

So you plan on reacting your own fuel? I don't recommend that with the Siemens injectors. If you don't get a full reaction and have free-glycerine(not visible to naked eye) left in the fuel you will have problems. Only lab tests will let you know if you are getting out all the glycerine...

    BROKE DOWN

Yes, they read the injection control pressure PID at cranking. If it's not up to around 500psi on a 7.3 it won't fire, not sure what pressure's needed on a 6.0L. Which do you have...late 7.3 or early 6.0?

    Biodiesel in an 08 6.4???

Cummins has approved B20 in all their engines. New Holland has approved B20 with 55% of their equipment being B100 compatible. The B5 rating is because OEM's have no control over bio. One person makes it out of soy another canola, another animal fat. The different feed stocks all make...

    Those Little PIA

I used a 13mm on the lower push through PITA's. On the passenger side it fell off and under the washer fluid bottle....that took forever to fish out.

 What happened to the Termy pumps, B-codes, TN turbo, Spearco and R&R rods??

    Those Little PIA

GOOD 90 degree circlip pliers work great! Had my clips off in less than 5 minutes when I installed my clear Visteons. The cheap pliers that have interchangeable tips won't work.

    When to use anti-gel additive???

Like Crumm said....it's all in what you buy. Untreated #2 clouds at 20*F, when it clouds it waxes up filters. Around here major truckstops start blending with #1 in October and claim it's good to -20F. Ask your station where you fill if they are blending, if the clerk doesn't know....RUN and...

Blew HPOP plug on 03 7.3L

You talking about the ports where the QD fittings for the lines are? There should be one in each fitting.

    low injector voltage

If a pin on the external harness is black then you need a repair kit. It doesn't come with the pins and takes a GOOD parts guy to find it in the Ford computer system.

help, hard or no start after sitting

The white smoke on cranking means you are getting fuel but it's not burning. First jump the posts on the GPR to bypass the relay. If it still won't fire you should prolly have the batteries load tested. If all those check out you will want to ohm out your GP's to.

    low injector voltage

Not sure what you mean on the external one...if you mean the one on the main engine harness I think you can only get a repair kit or replace the whole engine harnes which is big bucks. Most just replace the UVC harnesses and the VC gaskets.

    Chip, Exhaust, Intake, and Trans

Actually they don't have to put it in writing. If a field engineer is sent out and feels that said aftermarket parts are the root of problems he'll void the warranty. Then it's up to the owner to prove(in court) that said aftermarket item didn't cause the failure. Who do you think has higher...

Welcome to SDD! Remove the oil fill cap and smell for burnt wires. You may have a burnt under valve cover harness or loose connection.

    2001 F350 won't start

Hopefully you'll get more help here in the Engine and Drivetrain forum. Welcome to SDD! It's not a good idea to use starting fluid on an engine with glow plugs, the fluid could ignite when the GPs are switched on and cause damage. Even though you checked the relay voltage you still may...

Blew HPOP plug on 03 7.3L

Which plug? The one that faces the rear of the vehicle? You have to be very careful with the fittings and plugs in the HPOP. They are all #5 o-ring boss plugs, if they are leaking replace the o-ring. Overtightening usually strips them out which is what happened to your brothers IMO. Use...

Weird Scenes Inside the MAP sensor

Most people here that have scan tools are PC based like Autoenginuity. My AE only shows the votage and pressure readings on the sensor IIRC. I've seen a Snap On Modis used, looks like a great tool if you know what to look for.:tounge
