    Engine back Pressure

well, at idle, it should read 14.7psi of backpressure at sea-level because thats how much atmosphere is pushing against the sensor. The only way to get an accurate reading is to LUG THE MOTOR. Our trucks dont make boost unless you lug them down and get the fuel rolling. You can "rev" it in...

    7.3 List of Codes...............

p0603 is normal if the batteries have been disconnected, or a programmer has been installed/removed. A noisy engine could be from low fuel pressure, or air in the fuel lines. The infamous "7.3 cackle" is blamed on low fuel pressure on the number 8 cylinder compared to the rest of the...

    York compressor

Found this on google: "CCI, YORK R12/R134a OEM COMPRESSOR WITH TUBE-O HEAD" I've been told some yorks can put out upwards of 11 cfm!!! Also check out http://www.onboardair.com/compressors.htm

Could also be exceeding your fuel pressure. There is no code for fuel pressure.

No, I dont believe it will. Thats purely the turbo.

    Throttle position.

It could also be that your exceeding the output of the HPOP and actually losing power. Thats not the first time I've heard of this complaint. Usually works out that the chip is demanding more from the HPOP, Injectors, fuel pressure than the truck can supply. Hence, more upgrades.

Truck pictures with new/matched door handles...

oh yeah, that looks MUCH better than black handles. Should have been that way from the factory.

    FORD MOTOR CO.

Since I am working towards not relying on a "ROC" (rich oil company) to fuel my vehicle, I wont care what they do. Self sufficiency really does have its advantages. THe US gave up self sufficiency a LONG time ago.

FT and TDS both have site redirects that take care of the advertising, and those redirects can take forever somedays. Also, some avatars can foul up the page loading. Since this site restricts avatar size, it helps alot.

    FORD MOTOR CO.

Well, I HIGHLY doubt Ford is just going to go belly up. So now would be a good time to BUY stock wouldnt it? If your already at the bottom, you can only go UP!

On Board Air system and AIRHORNS!

You noticed that too huh. Truck only has 40,000 miles and the freakin pinion seal is leaking. WTF?! The screen in the AC vent is a "Dakota Digital" 4 port pressure gauge with a tank port also. Can display all 5 pressures at once. (tank, LF, RF, LR, RR). I will only be using LR and RR and so...

    Engine back Pressure

Engine backpressure is usually related to boost pressure. There is a math ratio for calculating how much engine backpressure is being created for a certain leel of boost. At idle, it should be very low, however I think the sensor that read backpressure is calibrated for 14.7psi at sea level...

    gauge lights

Ooops. I just re-read my last post, and I think I need to clarify. The COBALTS are BLUE LEDs. The cobalts cannot change colors. OTHER autometer gauges, that use regular bulbs, you CAN change the color by using the colored rubber boots. Sorry about that.

    gauge lights

hahahaha, by default, cobalts are already blue, however they sell litlle rubber boots that you put OVER the factory bulbs to change the colors. If your talking about the DASH gauges, then you have to tear the dash apart, remove the needles, peel the overlay off, scrub the green off with nail...

    Toe Mirror Parts Availability

I belive the new mirror comes with the backing *AND* new posts. Pretty much you just pull the old mirror out, posts and all, and slide the new one in. DO NOT pull the MOTOR posts out tho. They go thru a rubber seal first to protect the motor, and if you pull the posts OUT of the seal, well...

    Toe Mirror Parts Availability

you cant get JUST the lens. You have to order the whole clamshell, and that clamshell only fits the later mirrors, so you cant install the blinker shells on non blinker mirrors. I believe they also sell two mirror backs. One is smooth, and one is dimpled. The smooth ones get painted for king...

    NEW TURBO BAD

Hmmm, couldnt tell you. Its a variable vane turbo, so its got alot more to break than a 7.3 turbo. Most likely, if I had to guess, I would say either bad bearings, or the VVT technology broke. I've heard the 03 turbos arent the best. See if they can retro an 04 turbo onto it instead. More...

    Toe Mirror Parts Availability

I believe the only "parts" thats seperate are the mirror glass, and the "clamshell" back. The arms and base (and the triangle piece I think your talking about) are all part of one base unit. Its a pain to get that triangle piece off. I know. I took mine apart to paint them.

    Brass vs. Biodiesel

WIKI is short for "What I Know Is". Its also the name given to a collective, editable, open project of pages with information. Its kinda like being able to add your own changes to the encyclopedia britanica and everyone seeing them. At the very top of the page is a link called "technical...

OK, I've added the ASTM spec for bio-diesel to the WIKI. Check it out, it has the reactivity with copper and the like in it.

On Board Air system and AIRHORNS!

well, I'd really rather keep it on the forums so that other ppl get the info too. The dash comes apart very easily. Remove the radio, remove the headlight switch, remove the 4x4 switch, and PULL! THe upper dash is held in with friction clips, and it just POPS off. Work it around the steering...

yeah, no copper. Especially if your BREWING. Use black iron fittings.

    Brass vs. Biodiesel

Google says! "In general, the standard storage and handling procedures used for petroleum diesel can be used for biodiesel. The fuel should be stored in a clean, dry, dark environment. Acceptable storage tank materials include aluminum, steel, fluorinated polyethylene, fluorinated...

On Board Air system and AIRHORNS!

Its pretty easy actaully. Just have to open the switches up. By default, they dont come with the rocker switch, you just have the base. Use really small screwdrivers to pry the tabs open a little and the top should pull away from the rest of the base. Inside is some VERY small springs, and...
