    Need alittle more help.

Is the airbag light on too? You could have a busted clockspring in the steering column could be broken. Check when you start the truck up that the airbag light does come on for a few seconds so you know its not burned out or removed. Ken

I havent used AE but am considering it. I do however love my 02. I bought it brand new with 4 miles on the clock. It now has over 100k and has been one of the most reliable trucks I have ever owned. I plan on keeping it for at least another 100k Ken

    Can't believe it

Some dealers are serious about being competitive. My local dealer beat everyone else to death on wheel bearing and ball joints. I got 2 uppers, 2 lowers, 2 axle seals, and 1 wheel bearing for under (barely under, $590) $600. If its a part they know is not available aftermarket all bets are...

    block heater

You can check the resistance between the two flat blades on the plug if you have a decent multimeter. It should be somewhere between 15-30 Ohms if I remember correctly. Ken

    Question Block heater

Ive heard that before too. It is possible you do have it. The cord (if its never been touched) is tucked all up inside the bumper. You can look for the element in the oil cooler. It is threaded into the oil cooler header and will have a funny looking 3 pin electrical socket on it if its...

    Alternator Rebuild Kits??

The days of alternator rebuild kits are gone..... If you really wanted to try to help it live longer there should still be a brush holder and brush kit available from most auto parts stores. Or, you could check with a rebuilder, they may sell you parts. Its probly best to run it til it is...

    Laptop suggestions.

Funny enough,I have had the best luck with Acer's laptops. They are not very expensive at all and tolerate a decent level of abuse. If you like a llot of bells and whistles these are not the machines for you. They are pretty much bare bones computing machines. Ken

    Front Hubs Seal Replacement

More importantly though is that when these seals go bad the do more damage than stopping ESOF. They will let contaminates enter your very expensive wheel bearing and destyroy it from the inside out. Not good.... Ken

    Front Hubs Seal Replacement

They are expensive seals and you MUST use the proper driver installer tool or you will wreck em good. They are not that difficult to change though. you remove the wheel, remove the brake caliper bracket and rotor, then pull the wheelbearing out. After that, the axle can be coaxed out with a...

Help Needed 1996 PSD Transmission Troubles

Did you byass the cooler in the radiator? The locking of the torque converter killing the engine could be a sign of a restricted cooler or some miscelanious crud in a solenoid. It is usally also a sign of other worse things to come for the trans. Ford remans are usually ok in these trucks. I...
