Thanks for the info. Is yours mounted vertical or horizontal?

    Amsoil filter location

Howdy everyone - I've got a 2006 F250 with the 6.0 Diesel motor. I'm getting ready to install the Amsoil bypass filter kit on it, and am wondering where everyone with this setup has installed the filter. I can't hang it off the alternator like other folks because my coolant filter setup is...

    gauge questions 05-07 interior

Yeah, the only thing I can find is the pillar mount. My truck does have the storage cubby (instead of the upfitter switches). I'll have to investigate the idea you mentioned of replacing the panel.

    gauge questions 05-07 interior

Thanks for the info! Details look good for installing the tranny temp sender, but I'm still looking for some gauge pods that do not go on the pillar.

    gauge questions 05-07 interior

That's what I was thinking. Do you know where the aftermarket sending unit goes? I might have to go with the above the rearview gauge mount due to the fact that I've got lights mounted to my a pillars (PO had them installed), but I won't know until I can see the different styles. Where can...

    gauge questions 05-07 interior

What kind of gauges/gauge pods are you guys running in your trucks? I've got an '06 and am thinking of putting EGT, tranny temp, and volt meter gauges in my truck. I don't want to lose the handle by the door, so pillar gauges are out. What kind of gauges are you running, and where are they...

    comment Back from the doctor.

I don't have any problems with my motor now, but I sure do wish powerstrokehelp.com was located in Texas, just in case! I've been lurking on that site for quite a while and like all of the info that he's got. Maybe one day I'll drive out there and turn it into a vacation while my truck is...

Fuel filter drain - HFCM valve?

That's exactly what I need. I also realized that dfuser is located in the same town as me (Austin, TX), so I might make a trip out there sometime to see what other cool stuff they've got. Thanks for the link.

Fuel filter drain - HFCM valve?

Did a little more searching and found what I was looking for... not exactly like the fumoto, but better than the plug that comes in there from Ford. I'll be ordering one from Dfuser on Monday.

Fuel filter drain - HFCM valve?

I remember a post a while back that had a link to a drain valve that could be placed in the HFCM that would make it easier/cleaner to drain. I believe it was similar to the Fumoto valve. I've been searching for a half hour and can't find it now though... am I imagining things? Can someone...

    Tailgate squeak

I've got a little squeak in the tailgate that is driving me crazy... I can hear it when i've got the back sliding window open. My dad's truck (2006) had the same problem, and the dealer adjusted something on the tailgate while it was under waranty. My truck (same year, 2006) is not under...

Air Lift helper bags and compressor install

Finally got everything installed. I had a problem with the original relay that they sent me, but they got another one out very quickly and I got it all wired up earlier this week. All in all, it's a pretty slick system (Wirelss Air). I haven't had the chance to put a heavy load on it, but I...

Air Lift helper bags and compressor install

Just got the wireless air setup. I'm hoping to get it all installed by early next week. Which wires did you guys tap into for the power sourse? Did you hook straight to the battery for the main power? Which wire did you choose for the ignition controlled power? On my old Tacoma, I...

Thanks for the info so far. Did ya'll have to drill any new holes, or were you able to find some already there that you could use?

Air Lift helper bags and compressor install

Howdy everyone - I'm getting ready to install a set of Air Lift bags and wireless compressor to my truck and am wondering who else has already done this. Specifically, I'm looking for advise as to where to mount the compressor. I haven't gotten the compressor yet (slow delivery), so I'm...

Question Transmission flush - only 10 qts came out?

The way you did it is not bad, but it definitely didn't get all the fluid out. There is no reason to need a machine either... your tranny has a pump. It's quite simple... just remove the hoses off of the tranny cooler, put them in a bucket to drain. Fire her up and the tranny will start...

    2006 F250 blinker problems

Hey Rooster, what kind of discount are you getting? I called the A line by my house (Oak Hill) and they have two different part numbers... one for $89 and one for $99.

    2006 F250 blinker problems

Hmm... I looked around for an aftermarket replacement, but I couldn't find one. I may be taking it out and returning it to Ford if the price difference is that much.

    2006 F250 blinker problems

$150 and 20 minutes later, I've got a blinker that works. Ford did a good job designing that switch to be easy to remove, but I wish it didn't cost so dern much!!!

    2006 F250 blinker problems

Ok, so the whole thing slides out as a single unit? Good to know. I'm gonna try and mess around with it tomorrow. I'm hoping it's just a loose connection, but I'm fairly certain the switch is shorting out. Looks like I'll have to make a trip to the Ford dealer for parts...

    2006 F250 blinker problems

How exactly do you get the ignition switch cover off? Does it just pop off? The column cover won't come off with the key guard still in place.
