    using the snap on mt2500

    that was a nice scanner in its day.you will need the keys as been stated.i dont think you can get any updated cartridges for it unless you find them used somewhere.not sure if it will work on the psd but it should if it has the right cartridges in it.i had this one and the one that replaced it.

    the flashers may need a relay.i believe its on the backside of the fuse box(been a while since ive looked).get a test light and make sure you have power into and out of the brake light switch.have you replaced the brake light switch yet?may want to try that.

    the multi function switch is you turn signals,4 ways,wipers and high beam switch.remove the plastic covers from the colum i believe 3 philips from the bottom and 2 on the corners under the dah trim.then 2 t-15 or t20 torx screws holds the switch to the passengers side of the column.

    open the drain for the water seperator and drain some fuel into a cup or clean bucket,or pull the fuelfilter.what color is the fuel?if its black/oily you most likely need injector o-rings wich can be a cause for a high pressure oil leak down.

    a little money saving tip.if you do end up need the turn signal switch(multi-function switch) take it out and open it up.clean all contacts inside with some carb cleaner and lightly sand them or use steel wool or something.clean it again.dab some di-electric grease or a light wheel bearing...

    had that happen on my old car carrier.stopped to count out enough change for a coffee.got my change ready and go to pull out and couldnt get the truck out of park.got pissed and wrenched the shifter,snapped the pin off the shift lock.found out i had no brake lights but my tranny shifted...

    a problem ive run into with alot of fords with no brake lights is one of the wires to the brake light switch breaks off the connector.

    what kind of scanner are you using?the cheapy auto zone scanners will not work on it.you need something along the lines of a snap-on scanner or the auto enginuity program for a laptop.

    first how are trying to get the codes out of it? have a contribution test and buzz test run on it.is it blowin any smoke?what color?how much? check the valve cover harnesses.pull the oil fill cap and smell inside the valve cover and see if it smells like burnt wiring

    i made the stupid mistake of punching a solid wall.fractured my wrist and the bones in my hand for my pinky and ring fingers and dislocated those 2 fingers.i didnt want to go to the hospital for it but friends forced me to go.it didnt hurt just numb and tingly.nurse at the hospital kept trying...

    ill deal with that when the time comes.but me being as stubborn and pigheaded as i am i doubt ill do it.im 32 and my knees,hips,back,shoulders and wrists are always in pain.sometimes enough where i wont get out of bed.instead of havin them looked at ill deal with it.
