    Plant drive kit install

Because I'm over budget in my Mercedes VO conversion and am dumping bucks into it. Because even if I replace it every year for the next 5 years it still is cheaper than a FASS pump plus the FASS pressure regulator. Because I'm determined to prove to myself that I can change a fuel pump.

    Plant drive kit install

I guess it's OK to hijack your own thread. :D I do. The out port is near the t-stat. The filter is mounted on driver's side just above the IDM... ...but has a mini ball valve on either side so there is no drip when I change the filter. Its return is through a tee to the Degas bottle. Back...

    Plant drive kit install

180*F 170*F-180*F Like Ben said, but mine is hard wired as well to be on when on vegoil. After two plus years having it hard wired I only thought of putting in a vegtherm switch after a long road trip through the desert this summer when the vegoil temp was climbing to 200*F. I pulled out...

    Plant drive kit install

As mentioned above purging air from the VO lines is a bit tricky. Use a mighty-vac to prime the line then run with looped return not connected until its air free. Better than a 1/4" tee with a drain valve it a 3-way diverter valve plumbed in the return line.

    Plant drive kit install

Low fuel pressure on vegoil AND on diesel? Is your vegoil return looped? Maybe there is an air lock? :dunno Run it on VO and disconnect the return line right before the tee to bleed out any air then reconnect and re-check fuel pressure. Better yet, get a 1/4" female tee with 3/8" hose barbs...

    Found B100- Got Some Questions

ihatelaramie expect your return lines to melt. I've heard of at least 10 different OBS owners running B100 whose lines melted. I believe RickH was one who never thought it would happen to him but yup ya can't fool mother nature. She always wins. :D Rich IMO 15 mpgs with a 4.10 rear and a...

    Found B100- Got Some Questions

Other than B100 degrading the two return lines (FPR to each head) to a black sticky goo and B100 cleaning out your fuel system (depositing all the gray dino diesel residue from your tank and fuel lines to the filter) you're good to go. B100 has 7% less BTUs than #2 so your mileage should be 7%...

    My truck got broken in...

Like new. For years before I used biodiesel I added Stanadyne Performance Formula to every tank. Then B100 which kept my fuel system clean as a whistle. Then WVO, but I purge conservatively. It passed the buzz and contribution tests too.

70,000 mile on Biodiesel 7.3 report

You mean every green one besides the -015 (FPR to bowl) and two -202 (fuel bowl drain lever)? What are their sizes? :dunno Congrats on 200K. ;tu I rolled over 300K this week so by my standards yours has not yet been broken in. :lmao

    TDS now charges

Paying TDS to not see advertising? Not with my wallet. Maybe five years ago when I was addicted to TDS maybe, but I'm over it.

    wvo?

I've mixed WVO with B100 I've mixed #2 with B100 I've mixed WVO with kerosene But have not mixed #2 and WVO unless you consider the cross contamination of WVO to my diesel tank every time I flip tanks. IMO it's not desirable because the oil is cold. To lessen the buildup of WVO in my diesel...

I miss greasy Bostonian Kemore Square pizza. Haven't been there in 35 years myself. Stay dry. You're missing another >100* heat spell.

At first I had Cyberdyne electrical digital gauges. They sucked. I had false readings and it would scroll up and down really fast at the most inopportune times. Then I got Stewart Warner mechanical gauges from Summit Racing. They're out-friggin-standing. The beauty of mechanical gauges is they...

Kevin I'm certain nothing has changed on my end because the sister site OB is perfect as is every other forum I'm a member of. Ever since I started this thread I keep getting logged regardless of what you say or what you do. I love this forum as it has helped me in the past but this glitch in...
