    Oil cooler

The cooler is NOT an air exchanger. It uses engine coolant to exchange oil heat. The way it bolts to the engine fixtures, it would be a MAJOR if not impossible operation to move it. They work great the way they are designed I would not recommend relocating. You will see what I mean when you...

    Heater Delamination?

Dont know but will ask. I am confiddent that the CarQuest I buy from would cover it for me if there was a problem. Now that I think about it, my BD Drier set up uses a stanadyne spin on and I have run..... well never mind how much fuel I make ;) through them. I have never had a problem with the...

    Heater Delamination?

Are you looking for a heated filter set up? I am using one that uses a coil instead of a strip. Screw into the top of the filter head. Heater about 75 bucks, head with filter about 45 bucks. I will keep looking for the heater kit and the head with filter part numbers... CarQuest Filter part...

Omaha is right for the pickin!

I have not pushed very hard on WVO collection, mainly becuase of the time I have to make fuel. Since one of my suppliers has been letting me down (do not want to eat there, I know they have not changed thier oil in over a month!) I added another. It was so easy, I think they were tossing it...

    Ultra Low Sulfer Diesel

John, I think you have it backwards... Bad for our engines good for the environment. Mixing with BD will help make it better for our engines and wont change environmental impact. "Removal of sulfur from diesel fuel is good for the environment but the gain comes with the potential for very...

    What's this pulsating sound?

Drive shaft balancing? I had a slight noise in the CC and shimmed the carrier and that took care of it. Assume with hubs unlocked? With OD on or off or both. A/C on or off? Try and think of things that turn when you are moving, and if you can disablem them, try each one. Check fan clutch side...

The country might be about to catch on...

I have been keeping a low profile around here. Only 2 people I know in the metro making it (of which 1 is me) and 2 in Lincoln 40 miles away. Plenty of WVO for the picking, just more than I can handle. I suppose it will take a few years but may catch on like the west coast has. State regs...

    Breaking in new motor

Cliff Notes version... During break-in, a small amount of compression blow-by, oil-fuel dilution, and oil consumption will be experienced. Today’s Diesels can take a "few" miles to fully break in. 10,000 miles is not an uncommon break-in period. 1. DON'T run the engine hard for the first 50...

Round trip on BD with new tank

Well I did some math, looks like the MPG were up! around 16. Last year on trip to CO, we were at 14.5 but that was loaded I suppose. But on this trip I was carring 800# + of BD in the aux tank. I know at 73.4 mpg the rpms are 2,400. Dang 4.10 gears! Going to have to check it real close...
