    I think the vacuum pump is fine, I can toggle between the dash vent, floor, defrost, and so on and the system responds quickly. It's raining out today, and I can't fit into the garage with this truck, so I'll check this over tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.

    That sounds like a plan to me. I'm not sure if this fluid was changed at 60,000 or not, but that's good insurance to know it was done. I'll make sure I get the Mercon SP, thanks for the advice.

    That's what I was starting to think. I've got a 97 Chevy C1500 that I've geared down to 4.11, and I knew this ford wasn't that low, was pretty sure that it's got 3.73 Yes, my truck does have the Fx4 package, I forgot to add that into my signature.

    I checked my door tag and it shows 3L for the axle code. I looked through that list and didn't see that one listed. Also looked for the tag on the axle and only found a tag listing to use the correct oil. This axle looks like it's been in the mud a time or two, that tag might be missing.
