Just got a recall letter from ford today about the cps. will they just give you the sensor or do they have to put it in?

You should have purchased a 96' or older model then you wouldn't have got the letter.. Much less pain to change it on your own using your own $$ ;)


You'll get a letter crummy, mines a 97 and I got a letter today :) Gonna try and persuade the local stealer they can fill out a work order or whatever and ill change it in their lot so they can have the old one, just don't want to wait for them to do it when I can do it quickly. Let alone the crap the might try to sell me for my old worn out truck.....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I received the same letter this week,my wife laughed at it stating it'll cost us more in fuel and maintenance costs just to get to the dealer and back then spend the $15 for one of the new gray tip CPS' which takes but 5 mins to install:lmao

Just finished putting in the updated cps. I went to ford and bought it for $32.50 plus tax. My time is worth a whole lot more than that, so I think I got a deal.
