Ok, got a hold of DASH and ordered the PSOM. Actually just finished swapping them out and test drive. Wasn't too bad pulling the dash out at least I didn't break anything :sweet . Test drive went pretty well. At this point I'm only looking to see if the speedo needle is bouncing...no bounce so the big test is how long until it hickups and throws a code...cross your fingers that this was it.
Thanks again for the help with this. Just to show how much I enjoy looking for help...the truck has a rock to it now at idle...meaning it doesn't idle smooth at a stop anymore but does smooth out once you hit speed.

Your mission if you choose to accept :thanks

hmm.... how bad is this rock @ idle?

I had a rock at idle once and I ended up with BDP Stage 1's

Does it rock all the time or only when hot or cold? Have you changed your IPR o-rings? Do you still have the original injectors & o-rings?

It's kinda like sitting in a small block chevy with a mild roller cam (oh the memories...) When I had everything out for the water issue, checked the injectors and they all seemed fine and they are still original. Did the IPR orings about a year ago and it seems to only rock after it's warmed up.

The good thing is no speedo issues. Needle holds the speed with no waiver at all. The face is a little different than mine was. I now have a red line where 55mph is. Anyone else have it and if so what year is your truck?

As always...thanks
Ron

how many miles on the oil?

Almost 3000. It's just about due for an oil change. Plus I just changed out VC gaskets, UVC harness and the harness ends. I'm going to go out at lunch and check the harness to make sure it's all plugged in tight, but it's been running strong up to now it's just the idle is a little agravating.

Yeah, I'm relaxing a bit more now but I may be a little gunshy with all that's happened the last 3 months with it, my daughters truck and the wife's Jeep. I had my BIL listen to it tonight (he does my maintenance and helps me wrench on it) and he thought it sounded the same to him but then he drives a cummins  . We'll see if an oil change helps any. I'm only about a week away from it.

Thanks
Ron
