What have you done to conserve Fuel or Energy?

I have cut my driving by 50%.

I haven't gone to a car show or the track or a cruise night in my Nova (click below) in 2 months. Just ask Tbar or CHPmustang or Whata250 about it. I set off a level RED air pollution every time I start it. I don't have a speedy cable on it right now but its in the neighborhood of 4-5 mpg when your just "cruising". It vibrates the neighbors toilets every time I start it. :sweet

Spend more time laying on the couch? :D
Oh, you mean fuel!
Maybe I can cut back, 34K on a 01' is excessive!
Actually, I am trying to cut back, no trips to town fro a minor item.
Most of my driving now is recreational, only a few miles to wilderness.

I have been driveing my Suzuki samurai to work and on all my odd errand runs to town. The only time the SD gets used now is to haul larger heavy things and pull the trailer. I have been thinking about getting a corn burning stove.

Weve cut back on our extra trips into town for minor items, if we dont have it at home and dont immediatly need it, we go without until we are planning a trip to the store. I have been trying much harder to drive with a more judicious right foot as well. Thats the fuel side of things, on the energy side of things I insulated and resided my home and installed high efficiency windows as well, we also heat with dual fuel so I am not 100% dependent upon natural gas. We're trying to make a difference.

As far as saving fuel I have been doing about the same as the rest of you have. Driving very little and saving up to only make one trip into town to get what is needed. I do have to mow the yards today and that will be the first time any motors around here have run or started in the past 4 days.
We did put in a new 12 sear AC & Heater in our home last week that should cut down on some of the n-gas and power we use to heat and cool with.

Same here....
even though I HAD to go to the 1/8th mile to measure my new tuner, I've cut down tremendously on the number of trips...

and I didn't drive a LOT before since I work from home... :)

We been combining all the trips into one to eliminate all the minor short errands.
